An Overwhelming Response

Our 6-member selection committee is finally done reading through all of the applications.  We received almost 100 – far more than we expected – representing 9 different schools and disciplines.

The committee was overwhelmed by the quality of all of the applications, making the selection process extremely difficult.  Due to the huge response, we have decided to expand the competition to include 50 total participants (10 teams of 5) so that more of these highly-qualified applicants are able to participate.  Separate emails will go out to the applicants later today indicating the selection committee’s decisions.

Thanks to everyone who applied and helped to spread the word about the Challenge.  We’re all looking forward to an exciting competition!
